Originally posted by Mike OConnorWell, the most I've ever had going on at once is 80, and it was terrible. I've managed to get it down to 51, and I won't stop until I reach 30 or so. Only then will I accept new matches once more.
For me, if I have too many on the go I tend not to devote the required time to each one and consequently lose games I may otherwise win.
I think my ideal amount to have running at once is between 5 & 10...
Anyone else?

75-100 odd. Anymore than that (I had about 180 last weekend!) and I struggle to keep up.
Trouble is when you're quiet you take on more tournaments and you finish your games and then have to wait for the round to end, so you take on more games and more tournaments and then suddenly the next round in about 5 tournaments start at once and you're swamped!

I have around 50 and that's way too much for me, especially when I notice I'm playing the same player four times. What is the point in that. Also, the one day timeouts don't help. I end up spending my day stomping out those little spinning clocks. I guess I'd be more comfortable with around 20. Although, i've seen a few players handle around a hundred. I don't see how they can do that without withdrawing from life altogether.
