I have a laptop too. Try castling in a one or two minute game with the touchpad. Very amusing results (for your opponent)

I've made 60 moves in a one minute game using a touch pad on a lap top, and then listened to my opponent complain about his mouse. It's not the technology that wins and loses.

Well that's just impressive then. But generally I find it impossible to play 1/0 with a touch pad, whereas with a mouse I'm fine.

It's a matter of practice. Waste enough time and you become proficient. I can't do it now, but could when I was using my notebook to play blitz every day. I also started developing carpel tunnel and had to switch to the mouse.

That kind of speed also requires the use of premove, which can be dangerous--so many time I've lost my queen because my opponent played the unexpected Bg5 in his position (or one like it) and I had already played Nc6 as my next move.
