Originally posted by Dragon FireI have to confess that I've been here 4 years and didn't know I could do that (doh!) do you mean from the player tables list it under most moves in the month? In my defence it is only recently that quick games have become desired and I tend to do this on gameknot where I resigned a whole lot of games to floor my rating (only so I could start again). I have become aware that I have been fooling myself and I need to start living in the real world reagrding my ability, it's obvious to me that you are a much better player than me, but I still can't get my head around that guy yesterday who says he is a bcf 163 which as you say is 2065 elo but only has a current 1448 rating here.
Just search the Players List for current fast movers and challenge them.
Sometimes I feel like a fast game, sometimes you want a good game. Its easy, search out the right opponents.
Edit:
ahh got it, I just spotted the move frequency option at the bottom of the players directory, I had not noticed that before.

I rather play soimeone with 100 moves a day with 10 games than 100 moves a day with 100 games going.
When I was a non-sub I have the same problem about slkow movers. But when I becam a subscriber, I don't care. I just start another game with someone else or enter a tournament or something. There is always a lot of games with my turn in My Games. I don't anymore have problem with slow players, my new problems are that I myself don't have time enough to make *my* moves
Originally posted by FabianFnasYeah I know what you mean but I want to get away from a heavier gameload where I have to keep reminding myself what the hell I was doing and what my plan was (I don't tend to use the notebook facility that much), I like the continuity of a shorter gameload with more frequent moves and that is definately the direction that I want to go in.

Originally posted by buddy2I have finished games in one day....Actually in several hrs....Then on the other hand I have had one going since Nov.11/06 closing in on two months....What is considered an average time to complete a correspondence game???
Correspondence and fast play...I dunno. Seems like whatdoyoucallit? Oxymoron? Like going on a blitz site and complaining people move too fast.
Originally posted by Dragon FireI agree...Although I have had some good fast games also...But then good to you and good to me probably are not the same, considering our ratings 😀
