Game 711209
I know you can comment on a game completed, but man, can I just hit resign on this game after that beyond terrible Queen move? (Oh wait, I already did that ...) Chess so unfair, I outplayed my opponent in every facet of the game right until the twenty-sixth move, and I do EIGHT bad moves, all obvious ones at that, GAME OVER, he gets an UNDERSERVED (sic) win. So what if he's rated 400 points over me?
It's just very frustrating, in RHP, you put days and efforts into a game you worked hard at and were doing well throughout, and then you give your opponent a gift and he gets the win for playing like a pro. Chess is definately not a game of justice, very frustrating. Wouldn't you be frustrated if you worked hard for about 30 minutes a day at chess and still SUCK at it??

I'm tired of people who whines about silly things,I guess everyone knows who they are.........π
Originally posted by lucifershammerNot the same situation at all. First of all, I really do spend 3-4 hours a day of chess, and second of all, if you looked at my game, I did outplay my opponent every move except the last one. I'm not saying I'm a GM and dominated him, as I would of already won such a game if that was the case, but I did outplay him 99% of the game. You, on the other hand, from the looks of it, did 8 straight bad moves, not just one. That's like a hockey team whining they didn't get the win because they fell asleep the entire 3rd period, sorry, doesn't fly with me, your satire blows...

BTW, according to me, white did outplay you in 65% of the game, not just the streak of bad moves. He had a good kingside attack, and you were passive. In my game, my opponent had absolutely nothing going at all, and had to contend with a passed queenside attack and pawn that he couldn't of stoped unless I did a total blunder.

It's so much easier with OTB chess...You go to tournaments and you psyche your opponents out and make them do bad moves as they squirm...
I'm serious! Check out this game:
(Actual Tournament in Real Life)
White: yamiyokaze
Black: xxxxxxxxxx
1. e4 e6 2. d4 Qf6 3. e5 Nc6?? 4. exf6 gxf6 +/-
I've never seen a worse mistake in a tournament...

(In my first OTB rated game ever, I blundered a rook within 5 moves vs. a 1700 then went on to win(!))
Originally posted by paultopiaI had a similar experience in an under-16 tournament a long time ago. I blundered away a whole rook within the first 10 moves, then went on to queen two passed pawns! My opponent apparently did not know that a rook cannot stop connected passers once they've reached the sixth rank and he just couldn't believe his eyes.

In my blundered-rook win, I think my opponent expected me to collapse, but the queens were off, and I had a big development advantage from all the moves he expended to grab the rook, so I attacked full-bore with all my pieces including the king, won a rook back and went into a better endgame because my king was better positioned π
