Have you noticed how your IQ is the same to the number of moves you have made (Both 114)? I guess mines 4798!
Seriously, though, There is no need to post it. I can tell you right now that my IQ is quite a bit higher then yours, but that doesn't mean that I post it in my profile!
Edit: Ah, Dragon Fire, you beat me to it...

You build up our hopes that we've gained a true chess friend, only to dash them to bits, adding to the anguishing jetsam and flotsam floating on Cassaic shipwrecked waters.
I have decided to give up playing chess, I'm not very good at it. I'm cancelling my membership.
I, for one, can no longer take the constant roller coaster of emotions caused by people like you flitting in and out of RHP. If you have any compassion at all, you'll stay at RHP, if for no other reason than to keep us from going over the emotional edge.

P.S. - Only play chess if you enjoy it. But as others have stated, you really should learn enough basic chess knowledge first so that you can at least have some idea of the rich game that you have decided to abandon.

Dude try losing 1022 first 🙂 and playing over 1600 games then quit!! I'm telling you I suck at chess but I love the game. Chess is awesome. It really is a great metaphor for life!! Lastly I find most people here at RHP will help you with your game if you ask. (I should take my own advice 🙂 ) I felt like quitting but you have to keep playing it is not easy but when you get your first win you will become hooked. I agree with these others if you quit it will be your loss.

I'm serious. How good must you be inorder to be considered "good". I'm the best chess player that I know. Nobody I know plays chess.
But when I go on line I find people against whom I do not stand a chance.
I can find lower rated opponents and pretty much assure myself of victory. I can find higher rated opponents and pretty much assure myself of defeat. Only an elite few around here can say otherwise.
So what is good?

. I would even recommend shelling out a few bucks and buying Chessmaster - GM edition and spending a few hours watching their "academy" resources, especially Josh Waitzkin's lessons.
