Has anyone got this book yet? It's a puzzle book for 'advanced' players..and besides the fact the writer Paata Gaprindashvili is far from inspirational..it's a really good puzzle book. It makes Fred Reinfelds puzzle books look like 1st grade reading material. Here's one of the 'easier' puzzles from the book to give you a taste.

Na, if white plays Ng5, Black moves his queen to the seventh row.

Rg3 fxg3 hxg3 is probably a better line - freeing up the rook

Yep, I have it. It is tough, but I rather suspect if I could find the time to work through it would find it beneficial. The puzzles are organized around concepts, that while they seem on the surface at least to be a bit more complicated than Silman's much vaunted "thinking technique," may prove a useful compliment to his work.

Yes you're right. The bishop on c8 just messes up the Ng5 line

if 1.Rg3 then black still plays the queen to the 7th rank.

No one can figure this one out? I'll give you a hint: The first move is not capturing the knight....
