Didn't look at the graph; just using him as an example of my frustration. Though I really have no stake in who they decide to play, I don't understand the reasoning. If he is a genuine 1300, then ok, he isn't sandbagging; he just has a death wish. Of course, there is the chance that he hopes to use the game for instruction. In that case, perhaps I shouldn't judge.

Is it irritating to you when you look at the open invites screen, and somebody with a rating of say 1357 (established), is only accepting games from 2300 and above? Let's see if we can make our sandbagging more obvious, shall we?
The post that was quoted here has been removedi think you need to realize that the subscribers are paying for this great site that you are playing on and this is also the forums where they can talk about anything they want as long as it's inline with the terms of services soo i believe you owe them an apology.
All he needs to do is subscribe, and join a tournament, and then he can get lots of "learning experiences" (losses). That's what I did. Accidentally.
A player at 1300 playing a 2300 would gain 24 points in the extremely unlikely chance that he won, and lose no rating points if he lost. More likely, the highly rated player would win, and lose 24 rating points.

If he wanted to sandbag, he'd intentionally drop points to those close to his own rating level.
Edit: And I'm not sure why you're frustrated. The 2300's probably will never accept the invite, or accept and then delete the game. What does it matter to you either way?

Perhaps he decided to try out his newly purchased copy of Fritz10. 🙂
