Jesus Christ on a bike! What sparked all this off?

And how can you all miss the point of my earlier post?

Wilfred:
The best I could have hoped for would still see me two pawns down.

Yes, that was my point. Bowmann thinks too materialistic. He is doomed to be a Class B player forever. All they do is give lines. I like your comments better. I agree the position is equal.
He thought materialistic because my post was dealing with material issues, not positional ones. I'm sure he could kick your ass at chess without even really trying.

I think I have misunderstood your post question that says: ''Is protecting kingside pawn structure that important?''

I'm terribly sorry that I wrote non-sensical things for your thread. Please forgive me. Of course my positional understanding is very limited and I see the position equal but Bowmann refutes us by giving a line that wins of course.

He is just great and I'm afraid to even play him because he would kick my ass. He made 1000 moves and counting.

Ignore my positional crap that I mentioned earlier because I just checked with Fritz. It gives the same line as Bowmann's and it says white should be able to win with 0.31 material advantage. It doesn't say that: ''White cannot take an immediate advantage of the opened king and I believe the position is roughly equal'' like idiot Mr Nicotineman did. Makes perfect sense right?.

Not everybody understands chess as much as others. I'm so sorry. I simply cannot win with a third of a pawn advantage. I take all that back. Please forgive and give it to my ignorance.
