A part of me also wonders this theory, ie: "players like Ironman cannot cheat because they would need deep blue with a super computer to be that good". What makes you think it's impossible for some ordinary civilian to own deep blue anyways? Maybe Ironman is a retired multi-millionaire, who knows, and if he is a multi-millionaire who is good at chess and loves the game, then 5000 dollars for a rare CD version of Deep Blue doesn't seem off budget, and certainly 2000 dollars for a top of the line computer isn't that expensive either. Of course, for me to pay that kinda money on chess would certainly spell me starving on the streets, but you are forgeting that in this "glorious" capitalist system, MANY are simply OVERPAID and wasting 7000 bucks on chess seems like nothing to them. Also, maybe Ironman is a top comp programmer and he's come up with a new gadget.
And I ask people, as unlikely as this may seem to you (mind you, as rediculous as this sounds, it seems more likely then some unknown player playing like a super GM Kasparov of a 500-1 record, 1 loss off a mouse slip), HOW WOULD YOU KNOW? You would have no way of detecting this, his machinery/technology is simply 20 years ahead of yours and you can't keep up with the detection process. If you don't realize the superiority/signifigance of this, imagine your old battle chess against your Fritz and using that old battle chess to try and detect Fritz cheating by matching, you simply can't.
Skeeter is right, if Ironman does cheat, most cannot detect it with what they have, and personally nobody will ever know, as I don't think ppl are too keen to fork out 10K dollars to find out if/or not Ironman cheats in a ICS site. So ppl like I and skeeter just don't care, and never play/avoid him. I think ppl are crazy to even accept games with him to begin with, but it's their choice if they want to play a game with absolutely no suspence/interest and the outcome always seems to be pretty much determined.
For example, Tejo, a big cheat, had Fritz 8 with a super 5 GHZ comp, he also had good human help aswell, he was a 2200 rated master, and although he cheated, he could hold his own and convince others he didn't cheat because of his 2200 OTB rating, well, guess what, even with Fritz, a super comp, and his good chess human sense, Ironman handed it to him 10 games, Tejo lost every game.

Why is it we never hear from Ironman himself? If someone were accusing me of cheating I certainly would weigh in with my protestations.
If Ironman even says booo-hooo about anything, he could say something wrong, it could be something very remote that exposes him, or he could simply not care about us at all and think he's superior to us in everyway, so he doesn't bother to talk to us peasants basicly. He's quite happy to have the 500-1 record, top player, mystery guy who changes flags, joins multiple clans/leagues, plays 200 simul games, and not say a thing. There's an old saying, if you want to make a lot of friends, just do a good job making money and stay quiet in every conversation/mute yourself, it works, it works in the virtual world of chess too.

I can see why you and Feivel got on like a house on fire, ye're too similar to get along. you need to get rid of that pent up frustration. Maybe you need some of what Silver Fern has to offer. With his gum boots, he's got the perfect equipment to sort out your frustrations. Just put your hind legs in the boots, and ye're away in a hack. I'm sure, you might even be a nice person afterwards.
I don't see the need for these public accusations at this point in time. The CP are coming in a couple weeks, and only severely bitter, twisted people would feel the need to stoop to public accusations at this point.

Maybe Ironman is not fluent with English
Maybe he doesn't read all the crap on the forums
Maybe he spends his time on chess not mouthing off
Maybe he is a nicer human being than many others here
Who knows? What is true though is people like Ironman help to make this site special, as do all the fair players with ratings high and low. What this site doesn't need is all the trouble makers and accusers making the forums more unpleasant day by day

Excellent. Have to keep the image up. Its taken some serious posting to get it to this level and so I'd be dissappointed if it was seen to be slipping. Thanks for the feedback - its encouraging to see that all my hard work hasn't been wasted.
