My apologies....it was "Fried liver like..." Still interesting to be played at Grandmaster level, and for the US title! Maybe we'll call it the "fried chicken?"😛🙄

The best oriental players are ALL from China. for example:
Wang Yue (2738)
Bu Xiangzhi (2704)
Ni Hua (2724)
Nakamura might be good, but he is no match against any of these.
Give China 10 more good years and it will begin dominating Russia/Ukraine/Soviet bloc
Originally posted by Fat Ladywhat are you talking about oh fattened one, do i need to saddle my horse and ride down to England and give you another good slap about the head with my gloves? 2.Qh5 is a perfectly logical and playable move! the value of which i doubt is in its reputation, but it gets those theorists out of book immediately, whence they will be forced to play chess, rather than memory games! i may even try it myself, if i wasn't such a chicken 😉
Notwithstanding the 2.Qh5 nonsense, Nakamura is a highly imaginative player whose games are often show very original ideas. I'm delighted he has become US Champion.

At that level the 'insult' can have the desired effect.
Remember Miles 1...a6 v Karpov.
And when you think about it. White loses a tempo so he's now Black.
and his will lose one more when eventually Nf6 comes.
He will end up with a difficult position but not losing.
During the game the Black player has to go for the win,
he cannot allow a draw.
"I'm a good player, you cannot play 2.Qh5 against me!"
So at that level 2.Qh5 does have it's points.
Played over a few of Nak's one minute games.
They are incredible. I'd be proud of them if they were mine and
I was on a 36/1.30 time control.
Is a famous clip of him playing Dlugy.
Here is the full game. It last's 1 minute 8 secs.

Originally posted by greenpawn34yeah, I've also often watched him blitz on icc, and the level of his play is just amazing! and he isn't even trying usually, which becomes apparent when you see him blitz seriously in tournaments. because as amazing as his casual level is, it gets visibly higher in dos hermanas etc. -there's usually only one player giving him problems, jorge sammour-hasbun. it's like watching titans battle when those two face each other blitzing.
