An excellent wee thingy. Well done.

If I may offer a suggestion or a request.

Is it possible to add an auto-replay button
with say...5 seconds in between moves.

Cheers and I thank you once again for giving us a new toy.

PS.
Please don't add a feature that lets them write their own annotations.

It's going to be bad enough seeing these terrible games
moving in front of my eyes.

But with their own notes...Oh NO!

Judging by the large number of responses in such a short amount of time, I think we can safely conclude it will be very popular. Thanks for adding such a fine feature.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? When trying to replay the moves from the game in Thread 95627, the pieces and their positions shrink to about 2/3 their original size, such that they are no longer properly aligned with the squares on the board.

Edit: The pgn here works fine. I tried the game on the original thread on both FF and IE and the same problem occurs.

Strange. For me it works fine here, but in the other forum thread the pieces shrink as described. (Firefox 2.0ish)

🙂 Good one this.

This is because in the same thread a FEN diagram is rendered at a different size. And the FEN rendering and the PGN viewer share some of the same code, and also “size” preference settings. This results in the bug. A fix will be forthcoming.

For example, now the above PGN browser is broken too. 😳

Can you post a PGN file that starts in the middle of a game? [Using the FEN tag in PGN]

Indeed something seems not to work properly...

The 6th final edition: I wish I had as much patience as SwissGambit 🙂🙂

I found the bug. If the line ends with a move number, but no move [like "5." on one line and "9." on another], the viewer does not work unless you add a space after the "5."

I seem to have run across a bug in the pgn viewer. In this game where two rooks share the same row, the viewer moves the wrong piece. The final move should be Re8e4#, and that move is displayed at the bottom of the viewer, but Re3e4 is played.
