Think of how dragging the game works for your opponent. Every time he visits the site, he has to think about that lost position. Every time he looks at the board, he must look at his own dreadful position.
If he wants to prolong his own suffering, why not help him along? You had four more pawns. Why not promote four more Bishops? Nothing screams "pwnage" like copious promotions to minor pieces.
