It's main line (according to Fritz) is 1. c3 c5 2. e4 transposing into the Sicilian Defence, Alapin variation.

Sorry, Fritz8 but if you had the reasoning ability of a human being, not the mere cold calculating power of a soulless machine, you'd know that a transposition CANNOT be a main line of an independent opening.

If that is true the main line probably won't be the best line so it won't be the main line and therefore it can't be true that the saragossa is an independant opening that has a non transposing main line.
U can figure out wich point doesn't apply to 1.c3 (indep/main+trans)

Sorry, I'm not yet configured to recognise the difference between a main line and the most played continuation.

Nevermind what I said. The most played continuation seems to be 1... Nf6.

I think you need to be sent back to the factory; 1 ...... Nf3 is a VERY difficult move for Black to make! I assume you mean 1 ...... Nf6.
The Saragossa is an independent opening, though a rare one, Testrider no matter what you or the defective machine "think".

I should really go to sleep (or in stand-by).
Man, I totally look like an idiot now.

Ugh, what are you, a newbie? I can easily refute that setup, nothing Fritzian about it. For example, what makes you think I would play e4 at all if I see c5? Maybe Fritz agrees that is best for both sides, I wouldn't play it, why should I play into it? According to No1 I suck at Sicilian games anyways. You think I haven't seen c5 in such games before?

Perhabs this is a good reason why, in my argument, that this opening is good to play against an engine.

BTW, this is not cheating, I was pointed out to a database in a game in progress, which according to everyone, is legal in RHP TOS. Are you guys saying you agree with my original post against databases now, or what?

I hope you're not changing your original killer opening after looking at the database.

You are saying that it was wrong for him to ask, but answers to the improper question are now okay?

No apology. Discussion of ongoing games is not permitted here. Mat wanted a discussion, even though he said he knew it was wrong, and now he's getting one. Why give him what he wants when he knows the whole discussion is wrong in the first place?

You asked OTHER PEOPLE to give yo the main line for a game in progress..

That is improper. It's your game, you do the research. But you've already said you don't care about this violation, haven't you? You are only concerned with accusing people right and left of cheating with out backing up your accusations.
