Thousands of people on tv, saying bush this, bush that.
But yet they elected him!
Either way, they were wrong - I can't answer for sure, I couldn't vote then.

There was no mistake. More than 50% of the voters liked Bush, even the second time around. I fail to see how that makes the United States as a whole stupid.

Since he didnt offer any real confidence as an alternative, the Bush hating was the best thing he had going for him. He still couldnt manage to make anything of it however.
after the second election he has alienated his Christian conservative base to a large extent, whose support they had targeted in both elections and they were a big reason he was e and re-elected, which is why the Dems took back Congress and Bush is taking it on the chin from nearly all quarters now.
