I was going to put every single roman dvd, vhs I've seen before game over, but those are instructial chess movies.

My list was for chess moves which don't teach chess.

I didn't get what all the fuss was about with game over?

searching for fisher was wicked.

Draw? MOVE! You're losing, you just don't know it yet? I'm losing? Me, lose? NEVER, MOVE! and plunk plunk plunk =Queen then Queen CHECK and picks up his Queen!

best part of the movie.

1.searching for bobby fisher
2.Knight moves
3.Game over

They aren't movies to learn chess 🙂
What about GAME OVER? What's it about? I might rent it.

Don't waste your money on it. It about Garry vs Deep blue. Barely any chess in it, moslty just yacking about how the machine was kept away from kasp and he suspected some human help on the computer side etc...

There is that bit in the Rocky film where Rocky goes to the Soviet Union to avenge the death of Apollo Creed.

Rocky's trainer is playing chess against a Russian "minder" and finishes the game with the words, "Checkmate, Comrade!"

Compelling.

Do you have a link? I'd like to read that...

I had never seen a more contrived chess position in my life. In reality, Josh won that game because his opponent fell for an opening trap, and the two later became best friends.
