That's an amazing idea indeed!I wouldn't hesitate to take that pawn and make white prove it.What's the plan?Establish a big center? No need to sac a pawn for that, white can always do that.Heck, black WANTS white to do just that.So maybe the bishop to the a3-f8 diagonal?Dunno about that,I think it's better placed on the h2-c8 or g1-a7 diagonals. So what is it?
Originally posted by SirLoseALotIv seen this before, white should go for a kingside attack, incidently the pawn structure arising from this variation is ideal for the classic bishop sac. If black goes 0-0-0, (not that iv ever seen it) the open b file will rain down hell on his king. I guess b4 could be classed as an indirect attack on the black king :-)

I'll kill Ironman,if tomorrow he posts he made a typo,and meant 3.c4 instead of 3.b4 😉🙂😀🙄

I had the same thought. Although say he did make a typo and b4 turns out to be a valid continuation. What a way to discover it.
What about something like this continuation. If you're going to sac a pawn why not a second?
1. e4 Nf6 2. e5 Nd5 3. b4 Nxb4 4. d4 d6 5. a3 N4c6 6. e6 fxe6 7. Bb2 (not Nf3 or black seizes the a1-h8 diagonal first and problems after ...0-0) Nd7 8. Nf3 Nf6 9. Bc4 g6 10. Qe2 Bg7 (giving back a pawn)
Of course I have no idea how valid that line is. Probably full of holes. Feel free to poke away.

5....,N4c6,I'd opt for Nd5,if 6.c4,Nb6 returning to normal alekhine lines,but a pawn up.But N4c6 is certainly not worse,maybe better,who's to say....
7....,e5 is a possibility,8.dxe5,Nxe5 9.Bxe5,dxe5 10.Qxd8,Kxd8 yes, black lost the right to castle and has doubled pawns, but he's up 2 pawns(might have to return 1),and white's queenside isn't looking great.Black's king in the center shouldn't be much of a problem either,IMO.It may look a lil weird, but I think black is ok here
9...,d5 may be worth some consideration?
10....,d5 again,hanging on to the pawn.Maybe not a good idea,can't really say.
At the end of your line, black was still looking good to me.He's up a pawn, and I don't see any white attacks coming.White does have a space advantage, but that's normal in the Alekhine, especially if white sacs 2 pawns 😀
