I think 9. Nxd2 (12) is the right move in this position. 9. Qxd2 would be lesser accurate in opinion because of the lack in development of the Knight at b1. Black can threat the knight at b5 with a6 perhaps and then there isn’t a natural square left for this knight (c3 is the square for the Knight at b1).... That’s why I suggest 9. Nxd2.

It attacks queen so you won't can take the bishop on the next move. Nc3 is a better position for the night, so I wouldn't use the night to take the bishop.

Glad you guys played Nxd2, Fritz was desperate and was hoping you would play Qxd2 in which your knights hamper each other, then fritz could kick your knight out and it would have to go on the rim, this way, both knights are out, black traded in one of his few good developed peices and let one of yours come out in the process. I think he's in trouble now, but I'm sure Fritz will set many traps like the move we just saw, Nxd2 was the correct move.
