minus 5 maybe but practically plus 5 too since one tiny booboo in that position which is possible for a human and pow the evaluation would swing to instant death reversed.

I thought the position was so bewildering i had no clue who might win that position it was so dangerous for both sides so I wouldn`t resign since I might think I`m even winning .

The -5 is probably based on some wonderful brilliancy not on something obvious.

When a computer thinks minus 5 it doesn`t mean you are winning by more than if it is minus 3 since the position for example could be one in which minus 3 is a clear piece with no counterplay at all but the minus five one could be the computer has calculated a forced mat in 15 moves well almost forced except at the last moment there is a move to sac a rook to survive.

The new fritz 12 has a hotness metre which tells you the complexity a bit and if the hotness metre says off the scale but minus 5 that could be like the game you mention.

and I'm not even accusing him with anything, I just found it strange that he kept playing those positions against Kramnik and resigned in the other against Ivanchuk.

it's been said that Kramnik isn't feeling well too, but that's not confirmed.

kramnik has a history of getting mated in a won position. 🙂

1 - Who is Larry David?
2 - I can't imagine how annoying all those photographers within arm's reach must be

And what exactly is the relevance to the Tal-MT footage?

you sure know how to ruin a joke 🙂. the camera movements resembled the series "curb your enthusiasm."
