Intresting position.Great find that Qc8,shorbock!
I wish to try some analyses too.Picking up from shorbock's 5....,Qc8!
1. cxd5 exd5 2. Rxe7 Nxe7 3. Re1 f6 4. Qe6+ Rf7 5. Bxf6 Qc8! 6. Qd6 To avoid trading down which has White end up an exchange down(see shorbock's line). Rxf6 (I think this is best) 7. Qxf6 Nc6 And things look equal to me.
Why I thi ...[text shortened]... xf8+ Kxf8 1-0
6... Nf5 7. Qxd5 How can Black prevent Bc4....
What do you guys think? 🙂
I first considered Bxe7? because it seems to win a piece.
And i forgot d5 would be weak...i saw Qe5 Nc6 Qc3 forgetting Qxd5.
So Qe5 or Qd6. i also look at Qxc8 now, which looks ok too.
But let's have a look at your analysis : my turn to demolish it 😉
On Qd6 (certainly better than Bxe7), what happens?
you say Rxf6 is best. allow me to disagree!
ok Nc6 and Nf5 lose to Qxd5, but Rxf6 looks even worse!
Qxf6 Nc6 doesn't look equal to me at all!
the squares around the black king look very weak and black pieces are passive and overloaded!
The N must keep the white R away from e7 so Bb5 ! looks strong, in fact i can see no defence !
So Qd6 or Qe5 (not sure but both seem to lead to the same line) look strong to me, maybe winning.
Is there another move or is white eventually winning?
Is there something better than my Qc8 suggestion for black?
To be continued!
😀

yes at first sight it looks dead...but Qc8! at the end of your line seems to do the trick

Think you're right, some shallow assessment by me.
Ok,the full line from the starting position:
1. cxd5 exd5 2. Rxe7 Nxe7 3. Re1 f6 4. Qe6+ Rf7 5. Bxf6 Qc8! 6. Qd6 To avoid trading down which has White end up an exchange down(see shorbock's line). Rxf6 (I think this is best) 7. Qxf6 Nc6 8.Bb5! (shorbock's sledge hammer),Nb4 (or Na5 are the only options I can see to avoid losing the knight) 9.Re7,Qf8 10.Qe6+,Kh8 11.Qe5+,Kg8 12.Bd7! and there is no real defense to Be6+.Game over.
So 6....,Rxf6 blows.Back to the drawing board!

Yes, need another candidate here for Black...

Another nice tactic exists to save Black from disaster... but what? 🙂
2.Qxc5,bxc5 3.Bxe7,c4 4.Be2 (or Bxc4 or Bxg6 to get a pawn for the piece),Rxe7
edits: unable to hide the answer 😕
