no problem!
by the way, I was thinking, even maybe white could just develop more quietly after Bxf7 kxf7 Ne5+ Ke8, and white has two pawns for a piece, black king cannot castle...
Hi Wolf.
This 3...Nd4 trap is known as The Shilling Trap or Blackburne's Trap.
Based on the theory that Blackburne won loads of shillings playing it.
(a shilling was a common chess stake in the late 1800's.)
However there is no record of Blackburne ever playing it and I am coming
round to the opinion that Shilling comes from the term to 'Shill'
(a scam, a trick...)
The Bird's Defence comes from the Lopez. 1e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 Nd4
I think a good OTB try is to fall into the trap and 0-0. and after Qxe5 c3.
This has been tried 27 times White wins 12. D.1 Black wins 14.
My new RHP hero Marko has had this played against him and lost in 11 moves.

I used to play Birds Opening and an opponent showed me that trap as another of Bird's inventions: "Bird's Defence" ... thanks for putting me right!
