does anyone have some good games with the french where white won with the closed variation 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.e5 c5 and any variations that deviate from this i'm interested in. i can play the open french quiet well but when it comes to the closed french i get killed and want to know how to better my play in it. thanks

Another try is the Alapin Variation: 1 e4 e6 2 d4 d5 3 Be3 de 4 Nd2. Leads to play similar to the Blackmar-Diemer Gambit: 1 e4 e6 2 d4 d5 3 f3 de 4 Nc3.
