This happens to me all the time, I can't find a good move in a given, somewhat harmless position, so I just move, and that move ends up being a mistake. Often times, when I analyze the board, ANY MOVE would make my position worse. So in such cases, what do you guys do? Is it better to simply move a peice that isn't much of a factor in the middlegame, like the king, back and forth?

I'm in this position now. I'm in a very delicate position and I don't know what to do. My solution is to look at the board, think about it, and then leave it alone. Later I'll look at it again, think about it...and if I don't know what to do, I'll leave it alone...etc.

Wrong never sacrifice blindly when you aren't sure what to play
or that's what you emotionally feel like doing when a Player sacrifices material there must always be a good reason for example I sacrifice a
Rook my move badly cripples my Opponents Queenside Defence after my Rook sac he takes and 3 pieces waiting in the wings quickly join in the attack and finish him off that's justified but I never do it because
that's what I emotionally feel like doing or because I have nothing
better to play.
Originally posted by slushpuppydreamhe was kidding man but seriously I think you need to hit that little key right next to the comma key to the right not the left that indicates that you are ending a sentence after that use the shift key right next to the x key to the left not the right this time that indicates that you are now starting a new sentence using proper English capital letters thanks for reading my post.

Bravo thanks for chiding me I won't post or contribute anymore π
Seems there aren't any more place that one can discuss chess without
rudeness or hostility don't why I bothered it's the same everywhere.
Good day and thanks for the welcome to the sight maybe next time
you'd consider not everyones first language is English.

1. I was completely joking. I happen to be a super jovial kid!
2. I am pretty sure the majority of Languages have breaks and use some mechanic of language to denote an end of phrase and beginning of a new phrase. Not to be a jerk, but don't blame poor english skills on poor gramatical skills. I speak Spanish like crap, but I know how to end sentences and use commas.
Have a good one.
