Congratulations. You seem to have received a sub-rec. for being mistaken.

But don't feel too proud. Many are rewarded this way.

A comparison of your posts to your number of recs qualifies you as an expert concerning such rewards.

About what am I mistaken? I value pawns for their importance to the game, and for their symbolic and ideological implications. I said so, and you question me. Where is the mistake?

I wish I'd checked it out better before recommending it. When you log into the site, wulebgr set it up so that you are automatically connected to another web page which INSTALLS SPYWARE ON YOUR COMPUTER!!!

wulebgr, you should be ashamed of yourself for setting up your fellow players at RHP to have their computers hacked!
The problem stems from your security settings, but I am sorry. If you'll be more specific regarding the spyware, I'll lodge a complaint to angelfire.

These free sites--angerfire, tripod, bravenet, yahoo, etc.--carry a lot of advertising, some of which is malicious. To avoid the dangers, you need pop-up blocking, anti-spyware and -adware software, and sensible cookie management. I've never received spyware from my angelfire site; nor have I set up any there.

I should also mention that your browsing will be safer with Firefox, or several others, than with Explorer. My firewall also routinely blocks access to sites with a history of malicious activity--a quick glance at firewall activity during a visit to my site reveals that doubleclick was blocked several times. Spybot immunization also protects against doubleclick among many others.

I do plan to move my entire site to a paid host in the near future, so there will be no malicious advertising, nor irritating pop-ups.

You couldn't be less clear. And I don't recall being mistaken in the first place.

But it's clear to me you don't know all the rules of chess.

Oh wise one, please note of which rule you have observed me ignorant.

As a tournament director, I must correct such errors quickly.

You have not answered a single question, but you have thrown forth irresponsible accusations.

You most clearly are not serious about your assertions in these forums. Perhaps your parents should restrict your internet access.

Has anyone other than arrakis had this problem?

My site should be safe if you browse with proper protections (pop-up blocker enabled, for example).

You have a responsibility to know the rules of chess.

For a good reason, Wool Buggerer.

I'm not going to teach you a basic rule you appear not to know, as there may be others you are ignorant of. The best thing is for you to go away and learn them properly.

Cor!

It is not necessary that pawns be promoted to queens. In some circumstances under-promotion is better, yet your original post could be read by the overly critical as claiming that pawns only may be promoted to queens.
