A R(or pair of rooks) on the 7th.
A N sitting on an outpost controlling the entire game.
A Q leading her king's army into battle.
A humble peasant pawn running across the battlefield aided by the entire army in it's quest to become royalty.
And the glorious K leaving his castle to crush what's left of the enemy.

I like 'em all 😀

I would reccon the rook (castle) to be most successful piece on a chess board. What do you think?

I agree. Without them we couldn't even castle. 😉

A pawn is not considered a piece. if you had to say how many chessmen were on the board in the array position I would say eight pawns and eight pieces.
