I've beaten GM Amir Bagheri in a 30 min game... He is not quite as good as he use to be though, below 2500 fide I believe.
edit: I would like to point out that he has thrashed me at least a hundred times before my one win.

For example 22...Re3!! in Game 4246580 was really terrific move.
Originally posted by KorchThat was a really interesting game. At first site, Black's rook on c3 looks completely trapped, but in fact all of White's pieces are tied up keeping it trapped! Black's exchange sac, 28. ... gxh4 was the sign of a really strong player, I wouldn't have even looked at that possibility.
Yeah.

Have you tried running this game through a strong engine to see if Black's play starting with 22. ... Re3 was sound, or whether White had some of way of refuting it?
Originally posted by Fat LadyOf course I did run that game with engines - 22...Re3 is 1st choice of Fritz and Rybka.
