If you draw a line from one corner to the opposite corner in this box - has then the flute to be aligned to this line? Or has the flute to be skewed a little in order to have a little larger diameter?

it's on the line and the maxium diameter "fatens" the line until it touches all 3 sides of the box

This box is 12x14x16 units, quite qubic. But if the box is 1x1x10 then it is easier to realize that the thickness of the flute is strongly connected with its length to fit maximally. Is it then aligned exatly to the diagonal line to fit the box as best? Or has it to be skewed a little?
