I've got hundreds (literally) of these silly puzzles from when I
was relief teaching, here are a few more of the harder ones.

1. How can you add 4.5 to 9.55 and get 2.25?

2. If 1=5, 2=25, 3=325, 4=666 what does 5 equal?

3. The Post Office only accepts cuboid parcels, it defines length at
the longest dimension, width as the second longest and depth as
the third. They do not accept parcels exceeding a length of 120cm,
or a width of 40cm or a depth of 30cm.
What is the longest item I can send?

4. What is the next number in this sequence? 1, 2, 6, 12, 60, 60,

5. What letter has its own time?

6. How can you take one away from nine and have ten left?

7. What gets bigger the more you take away?

8. Who was the President of the USA before JFK was assassinated?

9. A dog's lead is 1m long and it is attached to a 2m chain attached
to a stake in the ground. What is the greatest distance between
dog and bone such that the dog can still reach the bone?

10. I was tidying my bedroom and found 60 pennies, I gave them
to the bank and they gave me 25 shiny pennies in return. Why?
(An almost true story!)

Sqrt ( 120² + 30² + 40² ) = 130 cm

I think he's saying the for the bone to be reached there must be no distance between the dog and bone?

9) I think the greatest possible distance between the dog and bone would have to be 6 meters.

I think the 60's are the key.
I'm thinking 60 m inutes in an hour,60 seconds in a minute but I can't correalate this with all the other numbers except maybe 12 months in a year.
