@sonhouse saidThey're not going to Mars yet, so those couple of weeks are irrelevant. What irks me is this whole show in the middle of the crisis. The damage done now was done on the ground. As usual, all Elon cares about is himself, and as usual, his sycophants praise him for it.
@Shallow-Blue
Well it's done, in a couple of weeks we will find out if you are right. I wonder if there are masks on ICC?
@metal-brain saidGiant space stations are simply too fragile as they are exposed to meteorites and radiation. It would be infinitely safer inside an asteroid, protected by a mile of rock and iron. You can also make it spin to provide some centrifugal gravity.
What about O’Neill Cylinders?

@ogb
I would rather he stick to rockets. He does THAT well. Why was NASA unable to come up with a reusable rocket in 70 odd years they have been there? I am BTW, speaking as one who worked on Apollo and loves the work NASA does.
But Elon Musk did something NASA never did do, make rockets reusable.
The rocket that took the latest bunch to ICC landed back on Earth safely and will be used again. That makes sense from any angle you want to look.
And the 'Stunt' as you would have it was planned months ago and they had a short window of opportunity to get the craft to intersect with ISS. Otherwise it would have had to wait yet more time later to try again.
But of course that kind of thing would not occur to you would it?
@bunnyknight saidYou've been watching Netflix "Travelers" program..
I don't think our leaders should be human, as is evident from our endless bloody history. We'd be better off being led by something else -- perhaps a dolphin intelligence, an elephant intelligence, or an artificial intelligence.
