It implies that THIS water is somehow different in having no calories. This illusionary value increases the price without increasing the value.

The web page given in the OP does not say that. It implies that the value add is in specific additives.

I can assure you too that all bottled water adds I have seen claim to be some sort of special water. They are usually called 'mineral water' implying some special qualities not found in tap water.

I suppose it's just obnoxiously, blatantly manipulative. It grates at my BU*&^T!!! meter. It also reminds me, sadly, of anorexics.
