For what purpo ...[text shortened]... e and you think it was all because of GOD? Get serious. Or Sirius, that would even be better....
I have never stated that eclipses happen to 'wow' us humans, or to amuse us. I have stated that the positions and sizes of the earth, moon and sun are NOT a cosmic coincidence. So your theory about when humans came on the scene is irrelevant. And we will likely see eclipses even if the moon is receding. An inch or two won't make a difference.

Eventually there will be no eclipses. What part of that do you not understand? It just makes it another set of coincidences. And BTW Earth is not the only planet with eclipses. Would that have been because of your god too? It gets amused setting things up in such a way that a moon can make a shadow across the dominant planet? I can think of things much more amusing for a god to do. Like create a dozen Earths all in the same orbit around the sun but separated by a few million miles each. THAT would be amusing to a god I would think. A few planets in our solar systems that can have eclipses, not such a cosmic event. It can happen on Pluto for instance, Charon is a planet almost in its own right and can block the sun just as effectively as Luna. I assume you know Charon is a large moon of Pluto. It happens all the time on Jupiter also, dozens of moons and some close enough to eclipse the sun but it would only be casting a shadow on a thick roiling atmosphere, not land. But what difference would that make to a god bent on amusing itself? Apparently it got off on it and has it happen from a dozen moons in the solar system alone. With all the planets being discovered outside the solar system, they must be literally BILLIONS of eclipses happening on other worlds with moons too and a lot of those WOULD be on sold ground like Earth.

For the record, I completely won that debate. Despite this being more of an atheist forum, than of science.
Then let's get back to that thread and continue discussing the matter.
There are a lot of questions you completely avoid. To avoid these questions mean that you lose the debate. But you still have a chance.

Let's go there and continue.

If you refuse to continue you just accept that you are defeated. You have lost your discussion. But this you know.
Just go to the Moon and Design thread of yours and answer the questions, will you?

You are not the one to say you won the debate when THAT is debatable also. We say you DIDN"T win so what makes you THINK you DID?

If by "winning" you mean stomp-footing while exclaiming with teary eyes and increasing desperation: "Beardy Man did it! Beardy Man did it!" - then you have won a glorious victory indeed.

Why don't you take it to Debates?
You guys appear to love arguing endlessly, never hearing the information given, constantly mischaracterize others' positions, openly lie when the facts cannot be otherwise misconstrued and generally pander to one another's base stupidity.
Not that the Science Forum is any more pure than science itself, but at least there ought to be one forum on the site which doesn't allow for vitriol, insults and arrogant pettiness to be the standard conversational flavor.
Since you guys are keen on such pointlessness and that forum has become a collection of the least desirable element of communication, you should keep the crap contained there.

We can 'hear' this so-called "information given" just fine. The problem is, this so-called "information" you give is a load of unintelligent ignorant moronic nonsense (such as flat-Earth) that isn't part of any real science.
It is false information.
It is just your delusional opinions you assert without evidence.
Thus it doesn't belong in any science forum.
Take this to the Densa forum where it belongs.

Now we have compounded problems, it appears.
You are singular in orientation and quantity and do not qualify as a we, therefore any use of the first person plural pronoun is in error... unless, of course, there are voices in your head.
Perhaps you are better off representing yourself in these matters.

More problems, pilgrim.
Although your struggles with the English language have been previously recognized (if not honestly acknowledged), your continued mangled use of terms doesn't further the conversation one iota.
You are not qualified to determine another's level of intelligence (or lack thereof), and you have the additional issue of failing to understand both what science is as well as what science does.
Once you figure out the normative use of terms as well as gain a working and legitimate understanding of the nature of science, we will be able to have a more intelligent and meaningful conversation on the topics related.

It is false information.
QED

Thus it doesn't belong in any science forum.
Given your views on science, it's a fair bet to say you aren't qualified to even know what belongs here and what does not.

I took the test.
Failed.
