Would it be possible for club administrators to have one tournament a month, or even just a one-off trial tournament, for non subs. Just to give them a taste of what they are missing by not subscribing.
I reckon we could hook in a few people this way.
What is to stop a non sub from joining countless clubs to take ...[text shortened]... re you reading the post? Nothing was said about non subs, it was said about club leaders.

I quite confident you can read 😉 !
I was reading it as a request for each club leader to have the ability to start a one time tournament... but I suppose it could be a request for another non sub tournament not created by the club leader, but the admins.
That's been done, and will probably happen again in a year or 2.

To the best of my knowledge, this has never been said.
For example, from the original consultation thread :

Club tournament (not for non-subs) - incoming

GV
Things intended for phase 1 of this :
Rated games/tables - done
Membership - partly done (you can't leave)
Club Forums - incoming
Club tournament (not for non-subs) - incoming
After that, I'll probably let it run for a while and see how it goes, before asking for feedback on where people want to go with it.

Russ is the Owner/Adminstrator of the site, he clearly does say (not for non-subs)
What ever someone else may have said doesn't really matter.

I'll be creating a club tournament soon. I'm going to have to PM an apology to my non-subs about the spam-like message they're about to receive.
It would be handy if I could select the members the message goes to, either by typing the names, or preferably by radio button as is the 'message all club members' function.
Now I do trust you Russ, so I do know you'll shortly allow me to create banded and/or themed tournaments, but in the meantime this would be extremely useful especially when created banded. Thanks

I was suggesting perhaps a once a year non sub tourno within the club set up.
I know we shouldn´t bend over backwards for those that don´t contribute to the site, but this would be a good way of recruiting new subscribers.
I see there are a fair number of privately managed non-sub tournos, so there seems to be a call for it.
It is just that my 53 members in the football fans club contain a good number of non-subs that were probably hoping that the club set up would include tournaments.
I feel that offering an enticing carrot may eventually benefit RHP.
A one-off or once a year CLUB non-subs open, administered by club leaders would be enough.
But I understand if Russ doesn´t want to go down that route.
