Recs are for entertainment purposes only. Alerts are for reporting abuse and other negative content.
They are NOT to be compared.
Save your slippery slopes for the slip and slide in the back yard.

What the Mod said about the alerts could very well be the same argument used for the recs.
Simple truth of the matter it boils down to the Mods discretion if a post is removed or not. We know how that works. 😉
Who knows perhaps we would be better served with the 5 alerts auto-remove the post? This way everyone knows 5 people did not agree with the post?

Perhaps if you were to try reading what was said as a whole, (as stated above) rather then pulling one sentence and questioning it. You just might have a better understanding of what was said. Try reading what was said, not in between the lines, that is not your forte.
Perhaps more importantly. What do you think I was implying? Would it be best if I didn't comment on anything in 'Site Ideas'? Would that make you happy and contented.

I don't think we will see anyone do that though.
I don't see any need for panic though because 5 ALERTS will remove a post. Who knows perhaps someday that is the way it will be?
