You mentioned that some nonsubs were beeing very annoying in the forums. I assume then that that was the source of the problem. The thing I don't understand then (because some subs are alsof very annoying sometimes) is why you want to cut back on their games and freedom. Nonsubs don't contribute nothing to the site - I think Russ mentioned once that the ads they have to look at are a good (bigger?) source of income for RHP.
If you compare RHP with some other chess sites I think this one isn't the best for nonsubs (it's not bad either though).
And your comparison of chess sites and magazines in your first post is quite stupid. These are two completely different things.
