For every club and clan created there are many more abandoned.
Firstly, so what? Abandoned clubs can be left open or closed. What’s the difference? Server space is the same either way. If like Ponderable you are concerned about server space then you should welcome the closing of all clubs and the removal of them.
Secondly your assertion isn’t supported by facts, it’s just conjecture. There is no evidence that opening of one club triggers the abandonment of “more”.
Thirdly why do you care? Because it’s a divegeester request and you feel you object for the sake of objecting?
