We should have a place in here where iconic posts can be seen forever.
Over the years some posts have made me burst out laughing and it's a shame they are lost to the sands of time.
Sometimes it's funny because of what was said and sometimes it's all about timing etc etc.
It should be a pay feature.
If you want it on the Wall you must pay a fee.
(Thumbs are not a reliable system)
Each post will also have the ability to be clicked on and it takes you to the thread where the post was made.
Maybe call it..."The Wall of Gods" π€

Did someone (we know who) put you up to this?
Spare me. (And all of us, really.)
@divegeester saidI heard she's dating Metal Brain π€·
Why would someone need to put Beowulf up to this?
You seem to see conspiracy in everything.

* You want some list of "unforgetttable posts".
* You want the person nominating the post to pay.
A few things:
I think for such an idea to become a worthwile feature:
* It can't be possible for a single person to nominate a post there. Reason: If I pay for 100 posts, that are not deemed"unforgettable" by the majority of members, they will losse interest 8and probably much eralier)
# consequence: We need a quorum of members of good standing (Being member for more than a year, no prior history of being baned, I could think of more qualifidcations)
* It MUST be impossible to nominate ones own post.
Reason: If I am convinced that I made a real hit, others should realize that...
* It needs tobe cleared up how many posts are there and what would be the criterion where on the list it is placed.
Reason: If I and a group of likeminded persons just swamp the list, the perals will be hard to find.
All in all:
Not a reasonable idea. Maybe some people will pay for puting up a post on this list, but assoon as the lsit grows beyond a certain (probably very small) content, people will be disappointed, that the post they sponsored is not easily found.
Hit numbers on that page will probably go down very fast and the marketing value is at very least doubtable.
@ponderable saidI agree with all you’ve written.

It’s an interesting but unworkable offering.

In former years there was a ‘best thread of the year’ thread. I can imagine resuscitating that for single posts or short runs of related posts.
I wouldn’t pay to immortalize any of my own posts much less anyone else’s, and given that no one should nominate his own posts for eternification, I don’t see how to monetize the idea.

Stop clouding the issue.
