Sure it was a big ego thing and sure people voted in blocks and for sure half the time ppeople were giving out recs just for good put downs or return zingers, but at the end of the day the debates were more lively because of it.
Apart from the usual suspects of kill joys who would never understand the concept of leaving well enough alone and instead would complain loudly to the rest of the forum about posters that they did not of like, instead of just ignoring the things they disliked and posting some crap of their own....
Free the rec system, lets all be rec whores again, and lets get some fire back into the forum!
