I like beer. Yesterday it was over 90 degrees and I was working outdoors, and in, on a variety of projects around the house. Sweat a lot and drank a lot, but didn't get drunk. Cold beer makes the heat bearable as well as keeping me limber and eases the stiffness of sore muscles.
I don't feel any conviction morally or otherwise about it. It's my life and I'll enjoy it as I see fit.
There's a line somewhere, and each has his own.
But all that doesn't lower the biblical standard, which prohibits drunkenness.

Clearly, the Bible isn't against drinking alcohol, if done responsibly.
"Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags."
Proverbs 23:20

Agreed.
You are both like a bottle of milk, but only Second Son has his lid on. As a consequence of your openness, your milk has gone sour.

The morality of a well-adjusted adult doesn't disintegrate under the influence of alcohol. If sobriety alone is keeping someone decent (or religion for that matter) then the person's morality is itself suspect.

Are you saying you are what you don't want to be?
"I’d rather...have a crowd in my house all being what I don’t want them to be."
Is this a control issue, or are you jealous of what people are and wish you were like them?
I don't get it!
