Yeah, I think Mother Teresa fulfills that scripture.

The brother of our Lord goes on to say:

If, however, you are fulfilling the royal law according to the Scripture,
“YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF,” you are doing well.
But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by
the law as transgressors. For whoever keeps the ...[text shortened]... t faith in
Christ.

P.S. The works do not refer to going door passing out Watchtower tracts.
And then using those works to throw in the face of other Christians (i.e. making it all about you) is to make those works useless.

Why not? I would. I would be absolutely blessed to have a bona fide guru give me their attention and guidance.

Do you know what 'guru' means in a hindu context?

A guru is a religious teacher in Hinduism, which I regard as a false
religion, since I am a Christian.

Dont get caught up in words.
Would it be better if he/she were a christian priest?
What does it matter (if it works) what you call them?

It matters a great dead unless you are not interest in the whole truth.

So I just have to ham it up with some flowery prose and it becomes more true?

Yes, we hear of shysters in India all the time trying to get money out of westerners for bogus teachings. But do you think that is the whole story? C'mon.

Here's a tip, real spiritual advice is totally free and freely available from a variety of sources.
I'd be wary of anyone charging for meditation or something like that.

You do well to be skeptical for they are not from God.

But they are, as are you. Either it's all God or none of it is, or at least that's the only way I can work with an absolute term like "god".

How can you cherry pick and say that this is God but that isn't? Did you talk with Jesus or the big guy? Did they tell you?
Because the only historical figure that has ever talked to me was the buddha, and that was once telepathically through a parrot. And no, I didn't turn to buddhism after that.

I can cherry pick because God is truth. Remember Jesus said,
"I am the way, the truth, and the life."

Even if he did say that, how can you , or any other christian, categorically DENY that he actually meant the light was inside of him and it could also be in you if you discipline yourself enough to understand it and practice it? That's my interpretation of JC's words and I'm sticking to it.
(yes, I know I said to practice a noun, it's part of my arguement))
