there are two scenarios, one in which god exists, and one in which god does not exist. where god exists, he must have been created by something, he can not possibly have created himself. but he is god and he can do anything, so he created the universe. in the second scenario, there is the big bang, but it had to come from somewhere. at some point in ti "possible". saying that god is not possible is also an argument against oneself, in itself.
Saying that God had to come from somewhere assumes that God had to have a beginning. However, this assumption is based upon the notion that time is eternal as is the material universe in which time exists. Therefore, if the material universe was created and had a beginning then so did time have a starting point. In such a scenerio God then does not require a beginning because he IS the beginning. Time is the only phenonmenon that had to have a beginning.
