Zoroastrians made the original sandwiches, but they were either good or bad, nothing in between. Indeed, all of the current monotheistic religions can trace their sandwich making choices back to Zoroastrianism, though each will, of course, claim their sandwiches are original and that the only way to God is by consuming their particular brand of hoagie.
