Whose idea was the human family life to begin with?
No hang on a minute. You mentioned me being dishonest with my wife and you with yours. Once again, please don't just brush it off and ignore it. It was a direct response to what you said to me. If you need to believe in a supernatural being in order to feel properly guilty and/or forgiven for "not always being completely honest with your wife", why does that mean that I have to too?

I think we underestimate the central importance of human beings.

I think it is realism to understand that the universe was made for man - the creature created in His image with His likeness, made to receive God into himself as eternal life.

No, I don't think Jesus died on other planets.

Trillions of planets, all made for man?

We certainly don't underestimate the central importance of human beings here on earth. But don't we perhaps overestimate the importance of human beings in terms of the whole universe?

Because the Bible says so.

The angels are not subject to instruments of scientific study.
You know SETI is hardly concerned about angels of God.

- all of the heavenly host is out there

If by "hosts" you mean astronomical bodies ...[text shortened]... ll does not yield any known [b]fact
that life is out there.

We just don't know it for a fact.
Once God is out there, there is life out there and there are worlds being created.. billions of them.
I dont know what kind of lame God you believe in.. not to mention cruel and inhumane God. We clearly believe in different Gods.

Okay. So that's what you believe ?

Well, this is what I believe. I believe that I am on the right track to trust in Jesus Christ because I know that the positive changes that have occurred in my life do not have ME as their source.

Otherwise I would have enacted those changes long ago quite apart from Christ.

You don't have to like it or agree.

That's generous. Thanks.

Are you going to simply skip the question on the pretext that you and I use different words to describe things?

Not sure what question I am skipping.
I answered the one about Jesus dying on other planets.
I don't think so.

Maybe you mean another question.

So Christ is a figment of my imagination ?
What would be my motive in fabricating someone with the character of Jesus Christ ?

I'm not different from most here - "Such a Person could be a nuisance to the way I like to do things !"

What would be my motivation to inventing this Son of God ?
If I could imagine up someone like that, I wouldn't need Him.

You don't think I kind of went the opposite direction when I saw someone coming with a Bible to talk to me ? Sure I did. Sure I was deceived once myself, much.

Are you being deliberately disingenuous? The conversation is still there.

I have never claimed that the Jesus story originated with you but it clearly appeals to your imagination and gives your life what you see as meaning.

No one has claimed the "Son of God" story is something you invented.

And even the importance of human beings on Earth wouldn't have been quite so important had that meteorite not wiped out the dinosaurs, allowing mammals to evolve the way they have.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Not earths.

I’m always amazed at how many people chase fantasy more than reality, missing the obvious, in search of what doesn’t even exist.
I am always amazed by how confident some people are about topics they know nothing about. You say aliens don't exist. Try and explain why you believe that without resorting to mere assertions.

No I didn't invent the external historical Christ claiming and acting like the Son of God.
But neither did I or could I invent Christ becoming the available One able to impart Himself into the innermost spiritual being of people.

This has been the gospel story down through the centuries.
Christ - living and available.

There is Christ "as He walked on earth" (ToO's favorite expression) before His resurrection. And there is Christ as He walks on earth again IN millions of people who have through faith received Him in His available form.

I realize you're getting drowsy reading this. But someone may be seeing it afresh.
