Instead of being full of unbelief as Rajk999 doubting is the Christian should insist to God that she or he undergo what the NT has promised. Transformation into the same image as Christ - from one degree of glory to the next to the next and so forth.

We can be BOLD to ask this of God and not pitiful beggers. Because it is the will of God that every believer be conformed to the image of the Son of God that He might be the Firstborn among many brothers.

We can be bold to ask God to fulfill eternal plan upon us according to His own word.

"Because those whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brothers;" (ROmans 8:29)

It is His will and His eternal purpose that we who have been forgiven and justified be conformed into the same image to be brothers of the Firstborn Son.

There you have it folks.

To repeat and believe the New Testament is to "corrupt fragile minds."

Now I know of one Internet skeptic who joined a website dedicated to trashing Witness Lee as an "X member" of the local churches.

He couldn't get along with even them. He had to get hounded our of the very group he should have felt quite at home with.

Maybe this dea ...[text shortened]... s poor fellow is just use to being disgruntled malcontent who is mistreated by everyone in his mind.
You’re a member of a religious cult sonship.
I came to this conclusion some time ago after researching your church group, it’s attitudes, behaviours, the way members are controlled in certain ways. I researched ex members looked for trends in accounts ignored individual specifics and focused on themes and commonalities.

Actually I’ve come to suspect that all church groups are on the cult spectrum. And not just affiliated church groups, Christian cultism is rife across the world but it seems especially noticeable in the western world.

There is one common symptom which stands out with all mainstream Christian cults and that is the persecution complex. The self reinforcing belief that challenge, refusal to accept “the message”, push back etc is persecution.

The JWs are exactly the same on this.

I don't like this copy-and-paste metaphor.

Better to use organic or nature-based analogies, e.g., ones that involve influence, growth, infusion, and transformation.

It won’t be sonship’s term, it will originate from one of the Recovery movement senior brothers. Like all of sonship’s material, which is itself copy pasted from elsewhere.

So you like to post a lot. So here is mine...... If you don't see this here, then there is nothing else I can say. But unless you know it all, I sure don't, you need to take your time and read and research this closely.

“Your Word Is Truth”

The Holy Spirit—A Person?

WHILE Jesus was on earth with his followers he taught them as well as provided them ...[text shortened]... on, the holy spirit was used by God to help the Christians, to teach, to guide and to upbuild them."
That was interesting reading. Thank you for posting that.

And if you jotted that down off the top of your head with scripture references included, that would be especially impressive. 😲

The analogy is even better than what we could imagine as code transferred into an already written buggy program.
Here is a better analogy. It is a program inserted into a problematic, error prone, buggy code which actually fixes, heals, rectifies totally that code within which it was pasted.
Good grief it gets worse. First Jesus is copy/pasted then he is a bug fix in a piece of software.

Both of these analogies are far from the truth of scriptural explanation.

I prefer the copy and paste metaphor to the cannibalistic ones he often rolls out.

"Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless the grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone; but if it dies it bears much fruit. He who loves his soul-life loses it; and he who hates his soul-life in this world shall keep it unto eternal life." (John 12:24,25)

Is there any sense in which the much fruit is a copy of the "a grain of wheat" ?

Is there any sense in which wanting the grain of wheat to "abide alone" is the motive for its duplication and copy?

"Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone."

Is it the purpose of God and of Christ that by dying in ANY sense what He is is COPIED ?

To love the self is to not be included.
To deny the self in order to let yourself be saturated with the enjoyment of Christ is to win your true soul-life in eternity. That is to participate in this divine copy and pasting of Jesus that He would be "the Firstborn among many brothers" (Rom. 8:29)

" . . . that He might be the Firstborn among many brothers"

Does this in any conceivable way imply COPYING?
Firstborn is followed by "many brothers".

And some of you cannot appreciate in this a COPYING in some regard what the Firstborn Son of God is?

"Even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world to be holy and without blemish before Him in love, predestinating unto sonship through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will." (Eph. 1:4,5)

You cannot see in any regard God's good pleasure is to COPY in any sense the Son of God?

I think you need to drop the copy and paste analogy. It works for the Borg (Star Trek) but not God.
