@proper-knob saidBacking up what claim, that the universe sprang from God and didn't spring from nothing? That God created life and life wasn't started by an unguided, uncaring, blind process without a care on what happens next? What is it in science that shows you how and why you can say the universe wasn't created?
True, but the vast amount of scientific evidence backing the claim up helps.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidYour problem making a statement about evolution is that the word itself can be defined several different ways and so when someone points to one possible flavor of evolution it can be taken that every flavor of evolution is true. Please be specific if possible, you have observed what?
Thankfully we don't have to observe evolution 'as it is happening' to evidence its occurrence.
Phew,
@ghost-of-a-duke saidI thought you studied the Bible?
Still waiting for you to indicate if your claim about the unique qualities of your God is based on actually looking at what other religions believe, or is just an arrogant and blinkered statement.

@darfius said"why would they?"
At the end of the age, those who belong to Christ will become as He is, given bodies like His which are not fallen (with fallen inclinations, tendencies and inheritances). So they will be returned to the state Adam and Eve were in before they fell. It will still be possible for them to sin, but with the knowledge of what sin has brought about before and with no corresponding physical temptation anymore, again I ask, why would they?
Why did Adam and Eve sin?

@stellspalfie saidGenesis 3:
"why would they?"
Why did Adam and Eve sin?
So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths.

@kellyjay saidWas being naked only a problem if you knew you were naked?

@stellspalfie saidPresumably because they did not understand the consequences, as we pretty much all do now.
"why would they?"
Why did Adam and Eve sin?
@darfius saidHas knowing like we do now, eradicated sin?
Presumably because they did not understand the consequences, as we pretty much all do now.

@stellspalfie saidOnly for those who repent, and not completely. But as I mentioned, this is because the physical temptation to sin is so powerful. It will not be when we are given bodies like the risen Jesus.
Has knowing like we do now, eradicated sin?
@stellspalfie saidInnocence gone, being naked presented itself as a problem when one becomes self aware.
Was being naked only a problem if you knew you were naked?
@kellyjay saidWhat is wrong with being naked?
Innocence gone, being naked presented itself as a problem when one becomes self aware.
Have you ever been on a nudist beach and experienced it?
If you have you would know it isn't a problem.
If you haven't then you don't know what you are talking about.
