Physically. Our knowledge has increased due to being able to better preserve and pass it own so it can be built upon. However, physically it seems more people inherit bad genes to pass on and built on, which I refer to as devolution. Maybe wikipedia can give you with the idea I was thinking of. This is just a theory like evolution and neither are actually true.
