He means that Gods were created by people, sort of like parents create magical characters to keep children happy.

God is a figment of the human imagination. Therefore, if man did not exist, neither would God.

That is the other way around, I believe, of your statement:

'If God didn't exist neither would you.'

What proof do you have that God is a figment of the human imagination? Is it that humans have the capacity to imagine a lie? That would fail the proof test.

I think bunnyknight's point is it's God's fault. You know, the one that doesn't exist.

Until you can prove that God is 'not' a figment of the human imagination He will remain so.
