do you? i find nothing in his text which is either homophobiac or racist and in fact i really wonder who would be offended by it. I certainly wasn't. Perhaps you can point out what was offensive.
Yeah, that's basically my feeling in a nutshell.

I'm sure.
Let's start with this: If you were a CEO of a large company and some crooked and dishonest employee wanted your position but knew he couldn't outright take you out of the picture, what could he do to undermine you? He could possibly tell lies and say things that were opposite of what you may have promissed your employees to take care of them and to improve their life's.
What if they believed him and not you? What if they wanted you out of there and followed the new dude but you absolutely knew what he was doing and it would eventually lead the to company to ruin?
How would you in a simple illustration handle this? What if for some legal reason the society there would allow you to just kill him?
What would that prove? Was he proved wrong by you killing him? What about the ones who believed him?
This is not a past, just some questions for you?

How can Americans, who in daily life seem so careful and polite to not step on anybody's toes, claim this does not cross the line.
Freedom of speech has more value than another human being's dignity?!
I think some people would just like to see society going backward.

You have still failed to state why it should be considered offensive and i don't think you can, because quite frankly, it was rather innocuous. I suspect that the gay movement is hypersensitive about any perceived criticism of homosexuals and quite frankly seems to be above any criticism. How they reached the lofty heights of infallibility is quite amazing and I don't even think the Pope himself harbours such pretensions, after all, you can criticise the Pope and you are unlikely to lose your job, not so if you criticise gayness it seems.
I fail to see how the acceptance of homosexuality is progress, perhaps you can explain what benefits it has bestowed upon society so that we can term it progress.
