Second of all, the Bible contains as part of its scripture the Old Testament, which is a fundamental text to Judaism.

Although Christianity has as its backbone the idea that Christ is the final prophet, God on Earth, or the Son of God (depending on which types of Christians you ...[text shortened]... ntary texts that make the religion what it is: the Talmud, the New Testament, the Qur'an, etc.
Well, I agree. You are focusing on the relationship among the various texts and religions and how they arose.

My point is about the teachings. Christianity is the result of the teachings of Christ. Christ and the disciples were all Jews but the resulting doctrines in some cases were completely alien to Judaism.

So to say that Christianity Comes from Judaism is wrong in my opinion.

The OT is irrelevant to your salvation. Everything you need know and do is contained in the teachings of Christ and the apostles.

Consider the gentiles in the days of Paul. DO you think these gentiles had copies of the Scrolls of the OT texts? They sure did not have the New Testament, and yet Paul and the spostles must have converted and baptised many thousands, and its all through the inspiration and guidance of Christ.

Put it this way:

Christianity and Judaism are different. But that does not automatically eliminate the fact that Christianity arose out of Judaism; it wasn't a completely independent religion.

Just like fascism arose out of a combination of conservatism and scare tactics. Does that mean every conservative is a fascist? No. Does it mean everybody who uses scare tactics is a fascist? No. Does that mean every conservative practices scare tactics? No. You get the idea.

Rajk, I assume you know that Revelations was written about 50 years after the rest of the NT.

Ok .. so what about Islam.
Islam has it roots in the Law of Moses.
But the teachings are those of the prophet Mohammed.

Yes, therefore Islam arose out of Judaism.

I'm saying that what you're saying sounds like Revelations, which was written after the rest of the NT and had little to do with Christ's teachings.
