@plantermoo saidOh dear, Romans1009 what a sad little man you are.
Those verses you cited are from the Old Testament and were written centuries before Jesus Christ instituted the New Covenant through His sacrificial and sin-atoning death on the cross.
What do you think Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and Resurrection were all about?
John 8:44
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies

@ghost-of-a-duke saidI’m sure He does, but faith is more important.
Your God is unchanging. You are told He detests lying lips, but He delights in people who are trustworthy.
Do you think he no longer feels this way?
Rahab was a liar and a prostitute in the Old Testament and yet she’s counted among the heroes of the faith in Hebrews. Why is that?
@plantermoo saidOn what basis are you comparing your presence and posting here with the heroes of the faith?

Q: Who was Jesus speaking to in those verses?
A: The legalistic, fault-finding Pharisees, who rejected the truth that Jesus Christ is the Messiah.
What was the purpose of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and Resurrection? Are you another Christ denier who doesn’t know?

@divegeester saidChanging the subject?
On what basis are you comparing your presence and posting here with the heroes of the faith?
Answer this question, hotshot:
Rahab was a liar and a prostitute in the Old Testament and yet she’s counted among the heroes of the faith in Hebrews. Why is that?

@plantermoo saidAgain,
I’m sure He does, but faith is more important.
"No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes." Psalm 101:7 ESV
Who are you to say what is and isn't important to God? - To think the new covenant gives you carte blanche to tell lies seems rather foolhardy.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidTake it up with Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul.

As God’s Holy Spirit indwells and changes the hearts of believers, they will become more and more like Him over time, though they will still stumble.
Satan is known as the Accuser of the brethren, which seems to be the role you and divegeester have adopted in here.
Your accusations mean nothing.

@plantermoo saidGod hates liars. Does that mean nothing?

Why does lying come so easy to you? Doesn't that worry you?
@plantermoo saidIs it ok for Christians to lie then?
Q: Who was Jesus speaking to in those verses?
A: The legalistic, fault-finding Pharisees, who rejected the truth that Jesus Christ is the Messiah.
@plantermoo saidEverything I know about you is small and sad.
Nothing sad or little about me, champ.

@divegeester saidIn terms of what? Their salvation? Their relationship with Jesus? The indwelling of God’s Holy Spirit?
Is it ok for Christians to lie then?

@divegeester saidAnd you know nothing about me.
