First the 'relationship with God' business is not in the Bible.

I quoted two passages from John. Did you not understand John. I thought it was pretty clear.

Here is another from James:

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. (James 4:7-8 KJV)

Both parties have something to do. Those who claim that they are faithful have to prove it by their actions. You dont get to say Im faithful and then proceed to do things which clearly show that you are not. God is not an idiot. IF you prove yourself THEN God will be in your life.

John said - IF you follow Christ's commandments THEN you know Christ.
IF you follow commandments THEN Christ will make his abode with you.
James said - Draw nigh to God and He will draw night to you.

Please dont ask the same foolish question again as I wont be repeating myself.

Interesting how you can go from enjoying the view to hurling invectives.
Of course I'm not the Forum Police! After all - you are still here.

And you do have a sense of humour, right?
