@Carnivorum saidI’m not interested in doing your research for you.
Why not?
You strike me as being intellectually lazy.
@divegeester saidYou're clearly missing my point, here.
Faith in the Bible? No.
My faith is in Christ.
You?
@divegeester saidDid you intend for this to be a conversation, or just a festival of naysaying?
I didn’t realise you had one; but I’m ok with either way.
@divegeester saidYou don’t know. You believe.
How do we know that what is written in the Bible is an accurate account of “what God said”?
That’s the basis of religion.
If God exists, and if he wanted to send messages to us through his chosen prophets, would this all-knowing, all-powerful, all-present sentient being allow his messages to be misconstrued, and manhandled to the point of not being what he actually said? Not a chance, if God exists, and communicates with us.
And the Word became flesh, and came alive.
“You shall LOVE the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall LOVE your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” LOVE is the Answer!
@shavixmir saidNo, I don’t know.
You don’t know. You believe.
That’s the basis of religion.
And I’ve not heard one Christian ever give me a reasonable coherent response.
Moreover their replies usually devolve into insults and abuse because I’ve dared to ask the question.
@divegeester saidProbably because you don't exactly invite conversation.

All you do on here is basically shouting at clouds. You have no respect for anyone, and this doesn't invite intelligent discourse.
@Suzianne saidI’m inviting conversation by starting this thread and the many others I start.

Would you like to converse about the OP?
It's a choice Dive.
Big Bang theorists choose to believe somehow two atoms (from where?) collided.
I choose to believe God made me and made you, sent His son so we could have a relationship with Him. I choose to believe that before He sent Jesus, He spoke to His people and we recorded what we thought He was telling us.
There are a lot of things we can't *know*.
Most of life is based on choosing to believe something.
If you have looked at all the logical options and dismissed them or chosen to not believe the gap in the theory, you are left with the illogical or impossible and however improbable that sounds, if you can't see a flaw in the sense of it: I think you have to choose to accept it.
@divegeester saidApparently you only start threads to yell at people.
